The Drs: Lawn Mower Accident Survivor
The Doctors recently met an inspiring teen struggling with a life-changing injury from a horrific lawn mower accident when she was just a toddler. A young boy accidentally ran over her with a riding lawn mower and it grabbed her by the pants and chewed off her left buttock. She went into surgery and a good amount of her buttock muscle was gone. She was devastated every time she looked in the mirror and her dad was hurting seeing her hurt, so The Doctors surprised her with reconstructive surgery.

Dr Drew Ordon was the one doing the procedure, and The Doctors had their cameras rolling the whole time. They first cut out the scar to “recreate the deformity” and then they moved the skin around, being very aware of the nerves that help her walk. They had to create an implant that will fill in the area, and then used reconstructive liposuction to define the areas on either side of the defect.

The Doctors then revealed that it has been about two months since the surgery and to celebrate her newfound confidence, The Doctors sent Rhiannon to Salon Tru in Santa Monica for a complete makeover and some pampering. They then welcomed Rhiannon to the show, and she looked beautiful, happy, and confident.
The Doctors showed a before and after, showing that besides a light colored scar, she looks completely normal. Incredible! Rhiannon was incredibly happy and said everything is back to the way it should have been. Her dad, Rodney, said she’s blossomed and is acting like a normal teenager. She’s excited to go to prom this year and is doing more selfies, which shows you how much her confidence has grown.
