The Drs TV: Bride-To-Be Smile Makeover
The Doctors wanted to check back in on Judy, the woman who wanted nothing more than to be able to smile confidently on her wedding day. The bride-to-be has had dental issues since she was a kid and admitted that often her teeth will come out and she will just glue them back in. She just wanted to be able to smile for her fiance and feel beautiful for him. When she first appeared on the show, The Doctors sent her to see Dr. Bill Dorfman, who said he would be able to help her make her dreams come true.

After undergoing extensive surgery, Judy was ready to share her results, but hadn’t yet seen her own new smile. Dr Travis Stork said for Judy, it wasn’t just about new teeth, but it was a whole new smile and practically a new mouth. The Doctors even had a celebrity makeup artist help Judy get all dolled up for her big reveal.
The Doctors: Dentures for Wedding Day
Dr Steven Kupferman was the oral surgeon working on Judy, and Sam Alawie was the master dental technician there to make Judy’s mouth look brand new. Dr. Kupferman explained that Judy’s upper jaw had grown significantly forward, so a lot of bone cutting and re-contouring was going to be required. They were only going to be able to keep one tooth. They had to clean up all the decay and basically reshape Judy’s jaws. They then inserted implants that would hold her dentures in.
As for the dentures, Dr Dorfman explained that the biggest challenge was trying to estimate what the gums and the ridge was going to look like. Dr Dorfman looked at his work and said it was a miracle.
The Drs TV: Dental Reconstruction Surgery Results
Dr Dorfman joined The Doctors and said Judy’s procedure was the hardest case he’s ever done. He said to make her not have a gummy smile, and to not have a one-inch over-bite, Dr Kupferman had to literally take off half of Judy’s upper jaw. Dr Kupferfman said they had to bring everything back, bring her jaw back, and find a place for her denture.
The Doctors then welcomed Judy to come on out to show off her smile, which she had yet to see. They then showed her what her new smile looks like. She was absolutely glowing and her makeover was incredible. She said she feels like a new person and she certainly looked like one. The Doctors shared that her fiance Matt, whom she thought was sick, was actually on the show to surprise her. He said to her, “You look amazing.”
Finally, The Doctors surprised the happy bride when Lee Nestor-Bigtree, the beauty and fashion director of Oleg Cassini Bridal, shared that Judy could choose a gown for their current collection to wear on her wedding day. The dresses are valued at over $1,000 each and they were right off the runway. Last but not least, The Doctors surprised them with a honeymoon to Puerto Rico that included their flights, hotel stay, and car rental.
“This is the perfect start to a new life,” Judy said. “I’m so happy.”
