Recently, The Doctors introduced everyone to Jessica, a young woman who had lost practically all her teeth. All she wanted was to genuinely be able to smile for the first time. A very complicated procedure was needed that would cost $60,000-80,000, and The Doctors surprised Jessica by telling her they would cover the cost to get it done for her.
They first had to extract Jessica’s two front teeth because they were protruding so much. They then had to sedate Jessica and put implants into her jaw. They put in two implants in the front to engage the floor of the nose. They had to test the stability of the implants before moving to the back of her mouth to insert more implants. They explained that anything over 70 on their scale meant they had enough strength to hold a denture, and Jessica came in at 78.
To put in the fourth implant, they had to go into Jessica’s sinus, where they noticed that she had enough bone for the implant, which meant they didn’t have to go into her cheekbone. They then had to put in four implants on the bottom. They explained that because they were able to put the upper left implant in, in a normal way, it means she will heal much faster and they will get an even better result.

The Doctors explained that Jessica was on the show, and she actually hadn’t seen her own smile yet. She walked out and looked like a completely different person. Her smile was absolutely beautiful. Jessica had the surgery done four days ago and has been wearing a mask everywhere she’s gone. They asked her if she was ready to finally see her smile and when she did, she couldn’t stop smiling and said, “I can’t believe that’s me!”
Jessica said no matter how much pain she’s gone through in the past couple of days, it’s all worth it. She said she could never repay how much the doctors have changed her life. Jessica’s parents were in the audience and her three sisters were on Polycom. Her sisters said it was a dream come true and said their sister looks stunning. Her parents said they will be forever thankful.
Dr. Travis Stork explained that it wasn’t just cosmetics, because now she can even eat food normally. Dr. Steven Kupferman explained that just trying to find bone in Jessica’s mouth for the implants went even better than expected. As Jessica gets used to her teeth, she can now live a normal, happy, healthy life. Her dentist explained that it took about ten people to make it happen, but the results are fantastic.
