The Doctors TV Show had a special guest today – Nancy Grace and they showed two great items: the Hooter Hider and the InteiGene At-Home Paternity Test. What does the Hooter Hider, Public Breastfeeding and At-Home Paternity Tests have to do with Nancy Grace? Well, Nancy Grace is a television judge and both of these products are highly connected to controversial and potentially legal issues.
The Drs TV Show: Hooter Hider
Nancy Grace said that in almost every single state in America, women are legally allowed to do public breastfeeding of their child. The Doctors clearly feel strongly about supporting breastfeeding, and so do I! If you do not want to see a woman breastfeed because it offends you, then just turn the other way. Dr Jim Sears showed a great item for new moms called the Hooter Hider, which allows you to cover up your breast and your baby while breastfeeding in public. Definitely a great baby shower item!
The Doctors: IdentiGene At-Home Paternity Test
Stores in NY are now selling IdentiGene At-Home Paternity Tests, which allow mothers to test for who is their baby’s real baby daddy. You just send in cheek swaps and saliva tests, and they tell you who is the real father of your child. But the big question is do you ask the men to do the IdentiGene test, or do you sneak up on him and do a cheek swap without telling him? Part of it depends on if the dad wants to know he is the dad or if it is just the mom who wants to know. Nancy Grace said that the IdentiGene Paternity Test is something like 99.999% accurate because it is based on DNA. In an ideal world, I think this test would be performed by agreeable couples. But what do you do if the main is not willing to be tested? Nancy Grace said that the directions should say to wait until the main is sleeping and then approach quietly!
