The Doctors: Multiples Episode
The Doctors’ audience was filled with twins, triplets, and beyond, because today’s episode was all about multiples. Get ready to learn everything you ever wanted to know about what makes multiples tick. First, they spoke with Gary and Jason, twins known as “the jogging twins.”
The Doctors: The Jogging Twins

The Jogging Twins asked The Doctors about eating before working out, and Dr. Travis babysat quadruplets.
Dr. Ordon sees Gary and Jason jogging around Los Angeles all the time. He’s impressed by how in synch they are with each other, especially while waiting for a stop light. They even have a synchronized curb jump they were happy to demonstrate.
The Doctors: Eating Before Working Out
The twins wondered if they should eat breakfast before working out. They always run on empty stomachs, but is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? Dr. Ian replied, “the more you exercise without eating, the more fat you burn.” However, this isn’t actually useful advice, because it wasn’t actually Dr. Ian!
The Doctors: Dr. Ian Smith Twin
Dr. Ian has a twin, Dana Smith, and he tricked the Doctors by posing as his brother. When the real Dr. Ian appeared on video, he explained the real importance of eating before working out. He explained that you need glucose in your system if you’re going to be doing strenuous exercise, so it’s important to eat a little something before working out.
The Doctors House Call: Dr. Travis Babysits Quadruplets
Then, Dr. Travis visited Ashley, an Army mom who received the surprise of her life last year: she gave birth to quadruplets. After a year of infertility, Ashley and her husband were shocked to find they were expecting four babies. However, their dream of starting a family was almost crushed when Ashley was diagnosed with cancer during her pregnancy. After delivering the babies and then having her lymph nodes and thyroid removed, Ashley is now healthy and able to enjoy her multiple bundles of joy.
“Everything becomes more of a challenge when there’s four,” Ashley explained. She changes about 40 diapers a day, which would be exhausting for anyone. When she received a surprise visit from Dr. Travis, she agreed to let him babysit the kids while she enjoyed a much-needed spa day.
Dr. Travis definitely had his hands full, and it took him nearly seven minutes just to change one diaper. In the end, he called the experience “terrifying” but a “pleasure.” The Doctors offered Ashley some great gifts: Nuna Leaf Chairs, First Bikes, Early Lingo, and a gift certificate to Aden and Anais.
