The Doctors: How To Get Thin
Today the doctors were talking about three things many people will choose as New Year’s Resolutions: to get thin, get pretty, and get rich. First, they tackled getting thin.
In a taped skit, a woman told her friend she was preparing to go on a diet. The friend was supportive, but we could hear a voiceover of her thoughts, which indicated that this woman has tried and failed at many diets before. When their meals came, the dieter had a salad, and her friend had a bacon cheeseburger.
The Doctors: Don’t Let Friends Ambush Your Diet
That led the doctors to discuss friends and family ambushing your diet. Jillian Michaels joined the doctors to share her input. Everyone agreed that you should try to help and support your friends and family when they are trying to make healthy changes.
Dr. Andrew Ordon suggested simple ways you can help to support someone who’s dieting, such as not eating complimentary bread at restaurants or not ordering dessert.
Jillian Michaels: Diet Sabotages
Dr. Travis Stork asked Jillian Michaels how we can keep our loved ones from sabotaging our attempts to eat healthier.
“Communication is key,” Jillian Michaels said. “You really have to tell your family, your friends. ‘This is important to me. This is what I need from you.’” She said that you can tell them the helpful ways they can support you, so that they don’t try to help in counterproductive ways like nagging.
“Respect one another, have an open line of communication, and protect yourself, because environment has a tremendous impact on will power,” Jillian Michaels said.
The Doctors TV Show: SugarSugar.com
Dr. Travis Stork introduced a sugar daddy and sugar baby, as they are apparently called, who were in the audience. Paul said he runs the website sugarsugar.com, where women can meet guys who want to spend some money on them.
Dr. Andrew Ordon said he is seeing more and more patients coming in for procedures, who have to consult with their sugar daddies, or sponsors, before paying for them.
Dr. Lisa Masterson said that there are all kinds of ways to make money without women having to degrade themselves.
Dr Travis Stork: Beauty vs Riches
Dr. Travis Stork asked the audience if they would “rather marry a billionaire and give up your looks, or date someone who’s broke and be a total knockout.” Dr. Andrew Ordon suggested they take the money and spend some of it on plastic surgery. Jillian Michaels said that was cheating.
Audience member Lisa said, “I would rather be a perfect 10 and financially support myself, so I don’t have to depend on anybody else.”
Dr. Travis Stork said you can break up with the guy you’re dating and make your own money. Jillian Michaels said you could be hot, make your own money, and go to the sugar daddy website to find someone on the side.
