Her school had a dress code that banned shaved heads, so the girl wasn’t allowed to go to school for a little while until the decision was reversed. This story made headlines and outraged many people across the country.

Do you have a lot of hair? The Doctors talked to a three-year-old who donated her hair to Wigs for Kids so children who don’t have hair can use it and feel beautiful.
The Doctors had a story of their own about a three-year-old girl who made the courageous decision to donate her hair so other little kids undergoing chemotherapy could use it. The young girl, named Emily, has inspired many people across the country with her story. “Sometimes kids get sick and then their hair falls out and that’s really, really sad,” Emily said.
Emily’s mother Amy was the one who came up with the idea. She said she donated her hair in high school and she sat Emily down and told her about cancer and what a wig was. Emily said she would donate her hair but only if her doll’s hair could get cut, too.
The Doctors: Great Clips + Wigs for Kids
Other people were inspired by Emily’s story, including Great Clips and Wigs for Kids, who teamed up to help people donate their hair. Several people joined them on stage who got their hair cut right on stage and donate their hair One woman named Vanessa brought her three-year-old daughter Aubrey with her. Aubrey is a leukemia patient who is currently undergoing treatment. Vanessa said that Emily’s story inspired her to donate her hair. Four other people on stage all cut their hair cut at the same time.
