The Doctors: Healthy Lifestyle to Prevent Erectile Dysfunction
A viewer sent in a video to The Doctors TV show and wanted to know if there was any way to prevent erectile dysfunction.
Urologist Dr. David Josephson said that doctors didn’t really understand erectile dysfunction until the 1990s. He said that maintaining a healthy lifestyle will help prevent erectile dysfunction because it comes down to blood flow.
A signal from a man’s brain sends blood flow into the penis, causing the erection. Once ejaculation happens, the brain sends a signal to the blood to leave the penis.
The Drs: Do I Have Erectile Dysfunction?
Dr. Travis Stork said that one night or even a couple out of the month that you can’t perform doesn’t mean you have erectile dysfunction. Stress can also affect your erections–if you’re having a difficult time at work, it could impact the bedroom.
Dr. Ordon said that exercise, a good diet, a healthy weight and avoiding alcohol and smoking can promote erections and penile function. Dr. Ordon said that drugs like Viagra have been huge for helping men with erectile dysfunction.

Dr. Josephson said that erectile dysfunction can also be one of the first signs of heart disease. He said they save a lot of people’s lives by treating the erectile dysfunction and in turn helping their hearts.
The Doctors: Can You Reverse Circumcision?
The Doctors had a Facebook question from Sam in Dallas, Texas.
“I was circumcised as a child and want to be uncircumcised again. I recently heard there are weights that can help put it back to being uncircumcised. Is this true?”
Dr. Josephson said there are actually some contraptions that reverse circumcision. Dr. Stork and Dr. Ordon were confused why anyone would want to do this because the foreskin is gone, so you’d be stretching out penile skin.
The Drs: Tools for Reversing Circumcision
Dr. Josephson said that there have been conflicting studies but some show that reversing the circumcision can protect the glands in the penis. He showed off a contraption that pulls the skin, which isn’t FDA approved and looked painful.
Dr. Stork said that whatever you’re trying to do, surgery on a penis is very complicated. Dr. Josephson said that doing a circumcision as an adult is difficult and has a lot of complications. Check out the circumcision reversal tool in the video below.
