The Doctors: Exercise During Pregnancy
A-list celebrities are known for staying fit while pregnant, so The Doctors sent their own Dr Rachael Ross for a look inside Hollywood’s top training facility with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. To warm up, they went for a walk and then came inside to do a stiff-leg deadlift where Dr Rachael kept her legs almost completely straight while bending over at the waist. In her hands, she held dumbbells, which she slid down the front of her legs as she bent over, targeting her hamstrings and glutes. Harley made sure to check her heart rate to be sure it was below 140 beats per minute.
Dr Rachael then did a row exercise, using TRX bands to slowly drop backward, forming a straight diagonal line with her body, using her arms to pull her back up. It’s a great exercise for toning your arms! Dr Rachael then stepped onto a stepping machine that allowed for her feet to go in a circular motion, working her hips as well as her legs, without a big impact on her feet and knees.
The Doctors: Easy Health Swaps To Stay In Shape
Harley then joined the show to reveal a few health swaps you can implement to stay in shape. First, Halle Berry thought she needed 90 minutes to work out, but the truth is that you can get a good workout in, in just a few minutes as long as you work hard enough and do the right exercises! Harley then explained that Megan Fox was actually afraid of weights at first because she thought it would bulk her up, when in reality they leaned her out, made her strong, and improved her posture.
Finally, Ariana Grande loves to drink green juice, but Harley said it should be more of a blended smoothie, rather than a juice so you’re actually getting more nutrition as well as sustenance to keep you full! Smoothie was the word of the day and you can use the word smoothie to enter for a chance to win a Harley Pasternak Blender.
