The Doctors TV Show was focused on the topic of Why Is My Body Changing. They answered all kinds of questions on topics from hair loss to cellulite to changes “down there.” The Drs TV Show spoke about a very cool trick you can do with your body because of the power of touch. This would make an excellent science fair project or science project to do with kids, don’t you think?

The Doctors TV Show: Thermal Grill Illusion
To do the experiment shown on The Doctors TV Show, you are basically doing an experiment of the concept of Thermal Grill Illusion. Take two glasses and put warm water in them, and then fill a third glass with freezing cold water. Place your index finger and your ring finger in the glasses of warm water and then place your middle finger in the glass of ice cold water. At first you will notice that your middle finger detects the cold temperature, but very quickly your middle finger will feel very hot. Then, when you remove your fingers from the glasses of water, touch all of your fingers with your other hand, and you will very quickly be able to detect that your middle finger is in fact cold and your other two fingers are warm. Truly fascinating, don’t you think? I love science!
