The Doctors: Allay Menstrual Patch – Menstrual Pain Remedy

The Doctors TV Show had a very exciting new product on their show today: the Allay Menstrual Patch which is a new product for Menstrual Pain Relief.  I have tried the ThermaCare Air-Activated Heatwraps for menstrual cramps before and I absolutely cannot go through my period without having them, however I am excited to try out the Allay Menstrual Pain Relief product now too!  The Doctors Allay Patch

The Doctors TV Show: Allay Menstrual Pain Relief

Dr Lisa Masterson showed the Allay Menstrual Patch product on The Drs TV Show, and Dr Travis Stork could not resist the temptation to play with it.  After Dr Masterson finished scolding Dr Travis, she explained how Allay works as a menstrual pain product.

How Does Allay Work?

Dr Masterson said that Allay sends an Electro-Chemical impulse to your uterus so that it decreases the cramping.  You have to remember that cramping during your period is caused by your uterus cramping up.

The Drs: Menstrual Cramp Remedies

The Doctors mentioned some other options products for Menstrual Cramp Relief, in addition to the Allay Menstrual Patch.

1.  Use anti-inflammatory medications that are non-steroidal

2.  Take birth control pills

3.  Heat applied to the belly can help with cramps, which is why ThermaCare Air-Activated Heatwraps works so well since you can wear it under your clothes and it keeps your belly warm.

How to Use Allay Menstrual Patch

Dr Lisa Masterson said that Allay works by putting out an electro-magnetic signal to help alleviate your cramps.  So you apply the Allay Patch (I am guessing that you do this in the same way that you apply the ThermaCare Air-Activated Heatwraps to the inside of your underwear) and it sends Electro-Magnetic Impulses through to your uterus.  In one package of Allay there are 10 pads, but The Doctors did not mention how long each pad lasts for.  If any of you have tried Allay, please leave a comment below and share your experiences!

I am going to make the decision on the epidural when I am inside the hospital and in fact feeling the pain. I won’t know precisely how poor the pain is until I really feel it.

I have use Allay patch for over a year and swear by it. I am 36 years old.
Had horrible cramps and as long as I put it a couple of days prior to my cycle I have no pain. I use my Allay pads more the once so they last longer for me then just the 9 months.
I also only wear Allay for the first three days then I don’t need it after that…Now I just have to find something for my headaches…lol
    Works Great.
