The Doctors: Family Scammed By Their Pastor
The Doctors TV show told the story of how a woman and her husband invested $160,000 into a business that was run by someone who they thought was their friend…their pastor. Their pastor ended up filing for bankruptcy and they didn’t hear from him for months.
Erin and Ron now deal with anxiety and panic attacks, and they want to get rid of their stress and get back to being healthy. Erin also ended up collapsing from the anxiety and stress and wound up in the hospital.
A family lost nearly everything when they were scammed by their pastor. Dr. Phil McGraw explained how to spot a baiter and avoid a situation like this.
The Drs: How to Spot a Baiter
Dr. Phil McGraw, who guest starred on the show, talked about people in his new book Life Code: The New Rules for Winning in the Real World that are the Evil Eight. He said it sounded like the man who scammed them was eight for eight.
Dr. Phil also brought up the Nefarious 15, and said that number one was that people infiltrate using promises and flattery. He said that Erin and Ron’s story is a great example for how to spot a baiter, which stands for people who are backstabbers, abusers, impostors, takers, exploiters and reckless.
The Drs TV: Watch Out for People That Seem Too Nice
He said you have to look at everyone who is nice to you in your life, even if you know the kindness is genuine, and see if they meet the criteria for any of the evil eight. If they do, you need to put them on your watch list.
