The Doctors shared that a new study shows that red wine can help slim your waist and boost your metabolism. They pointed out that the study was done on an element in red wine, so that doesn’t mean they’re giving you an excuse to go out and drink a bunch of wine. They said it’s not a miracle, it just means that you can enjoy it in moderation, because it may be good for you.

The Drs: UCLA Medical Center Super Bug
The Doctors then shared the latest health headlines in their Doctors News in 2:00, starting by sharing that 179 patients at UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Medical Center may have been exposed to the drug-resistant super-bug CRE.
Hospital officials believe the bacteria was transmitted through two specialized endoscopes that can accumulate bacteria and can be difficult to disinfect properly. The medical instruments have been removed from the hospital and UCLA is now contacting patients who may have been exposed to the super bug between October 2014 and January 2015.
Two people have reportedly died from the infection.
The Drs: Demi Lovato Eating Disorder Awareness
The Doctors then shared that National Eating Disorders Awareness Week kicked off with events around the country to raise awareness about eating disorders that affect 30 million Americans. Demi Lovato has been a beacon of hope for those struggling with compulsive behavior when it comes to food. The 22-year-old recently tweeted: “Eating disorders do not discriminate… These are deadly diseases that are taking lives daily.” and “so please, let’s be cautious of the words we use when discussing ED’s…”
The Drs: Kate Hudson Health Advice
Kate Hudson is sharing her advice for staying healthy in the March issue of Shape Magazine. She told the magazine that she hates the idea of dieting because it puts pressure on people to lose weight quickly. She said, “Getting healthy is not a two-week process, it’s a change of lifestyle.” The 35-year-old also said, “Taking the time to cook your own food and enjoying the process of feeding yourself can change your life.”
The Drs: How To Stretch Your Shoes
The Doctors then revealed that your freezer can actually be used to make your shoes a little more comfortable. All you need is two quart-sized Ziploc baggies and a little water. Fill the bags with water, put them in your shoes, and then put the shoes in your freezer overnight. As the water freezes, it will expand and stretch your shoes, making it more comfortable. The freezer could also help get rid of some of your shoe stench.
