The Doctors: Dating Intervention & Makeover
Believe it or not, relationships can have a big influence on your health. If you or someone you know is pretty with a successful career, and also has a great demeanor and good sense of style, but just can’t seem to find the one, you’re certainly not alone. Lindee is in exactly that position, which is why they sent her for a relationship intervention. Lindee first met relationship expert Lauren Frances, first telling her that she used to want to be single. She wanted to get an education, travel, and start her career, so that’s where her focus was. On top of that, she’d never been in love.
Lauren first told Lindee that it’s impossible to fall in love without being vulnerable. When asked if she felt the need to be perfect, Lindee described herself as a “recovered perfectionist.” Lindee recently began wondering if perhaps no one seems perfect enough for her. Lauren wanted to teach Lindee how to properly market herself, helping her “relaunch” her online dating profile after taking a look at how she was coming across presently.
Lauren first noticed the pictures on Lindee’s profile, which were sending the wrong impression. Lauren was so excited to give her profile a makeover, help her take new photos, and even eventually set her up on a date!

Lauren and Lindee then joined The Doctors, as Lauren shared her advice for helping women transform into “men magnets.” Lauren first explained that Lindee is a defensive dater, a perfectionist, and she doesn’t want to get hurt. Sometimes, women can shut down and end up setting the bar too high when it comes to finding a match. Lindee’s longest relationship lasted just a year, but down the road learned that because of faith differences and a disagreement over children, they needed to part ways.

Lindee then revealed her new dating profile pictures which were truly like night and day. The new pictures showed off her beautiful face in clear, close-up pictures, while other images showed her slim, fit body in clothes that accentuated her figure. The good news is that immediately after making over her online profile, Lindee actually scored a date! The Doctors’ cameras went along to see how it went.
While the date seemed a little awkward at times, they did seem to connect when talking about their siblings and dancing. Lauren pointed out that because Lindee is such a defensive dater, it was pretty obvious how stand-offish she seemed at times. A simple smile can go a long way and Lindee’s body language seemed to send a bad message. On top of that, Lindee criticized her date three times, saying it was too early when he ordered wine, judging his seafood order, and then placing judgement over the fact that he liked to watch TV, while she doesn’t.
Lauren suggested you turn a potential problem into a conversation that can help you find out if there are any red flags that may pop up down the road.

Lindee was then surprised when The Doctors invited her date, Franklin to join them. Franklin liked how easy it was to talk to Lindee and how smart and ambitious she was. On the date, he noticed that Lindee seemed a bit “rigid” but while watching her on the show, he saw how playful she really was. Franklin admitted that after that first date, if that was the only connection the two of them had, he wouldn’t have asked her out on a second date.
When it comes to dating, it’s all about building a connection. You have to let your guard down in order to even make that connection possible. You should first be interested in the other person by complimenting them or asking them questions. Lauren suggested that Lindee go on ten dates with ten different men to learn more about herself and dating in general.
