Curtis Stone Poppy Seed Dressing Recipe Ingredients:

Curtis Stone’s Fireworks Coleslaw Recipe & Daphne Oz’s Sparkling Basil Lemonade will cool down even the hottest summer dishes.
- 1 1/2 cups of Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup of Shallots (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons of Cider Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of Poppy Seeds
- 1 Lemon zest (finely grated)
- 2 teaspoons of Lemon Juice (fresh)
- 2 teaspoons of Kosher Salt
Fireworks Coleslaw Ingredients
- 1/2 head of Napa Cabbage (cored; cut in half and then cut crosswise into 1/8-inch-wide slices; about 3 cups)
- 1/2 head of Red Cabbage (cored; cut in half and then cut crosswise into 1/8-inch-wide slices; about 2 cups)
- 1 large Carrot that you have cut into thin strips.
- 8 Scallions that you use the green and white parts from (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup of fresh Cilantro (lightly packed)
The Chew: Fireworks Coleslaw Directions
For the Poppy Seed Dressing:
- Whisk all the ingredients together in a medium bowl.
- To allow the flavors to develop, refrigerate the dressing in a covered container.
For the Slaw:
- In a large bowl, gently toss the red and napa cabbage, cilantro, and scallions using your hands.
- Coat the slaw with dressing by tossing it. Use just enough to coat the cabbage.
- Serve the cole slaw immediately.
Daphne Oz: Sparkling Basil Lemonade Recipe Ingredients
- 4 cups of Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed)
- 8 ounces of Vodka
- 6 ounces Basil Simple Syrup
- For carbonation Soda Water
For the Basil Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup of Water
- 1 cup of Sugar
- 1/4 cup of packed Basil Leaves
The Chew: Sparkling Basil Lemonade Directions
- Mix together the vodka, simple syrup, and lemon juice, stirring them.
- Pour the mixture into a glass over ice, and then add soda water.
For the Basil Simple Syrup:
- Place the water and the sugar in a pot and bring them to a boil, at which point you will stir them until the sugar is dissolved.
- Remove the sugar water from the heat and add your basil leaves.
- Once the syrup is at room temperature, strain out the basil leaves and allow the syrup to chill in the fridge until it is ready to use.
