The Chew: Cherry Jam + Chocolate Peanut Butter
With the entire audience dressed in white, the co-hosts of The Chew celebrated their Jingle Bell Jam episode. Carla Hall kicked things off with her homemade Cherry Jam and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Given how incredibly tasty each of the spreads are, it would be hard to wait to devour them. But if you have more self control than me, you could certainly layer the jam and chocolate peanut butter in jars to give as holiday gifts.

The Chew: Cherry Jam + Chocolate Peanut Butter Recipe Ingredients

For the Chocolate Peanut Butter:
- 1/4 C unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 lb peanuts – salted
- 1/4 C powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
For the Cherry Jam:
- 1/2 C granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 lb frozen dark sweet cherries – thawed
- 1 lemon – juice and zest
- 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
The Chew: Cherry Jam + Chocolate Peanut Butter Recipe Directions
For the Chocolate Peanut Butter:
- Put the peanuts in the bowl of a food processor and process for about three minutes, until smooth
- Add the powdered sugar, cocoa, salt, and oil
- Process for about 15 minutes
For the Cherry Jam:
- In a medium saucepan, add the cherries, lemon juice, sugar, lemon zest, salt, and cinnamon stick
- Cook over medium heat until the cherries start to break down, about 15 minutes
- Remove from the heat and let cool for about 15 minutes, until room temperature
- Remove the cinnamon stick
- Store in a sealed container in the fridge
- Layer the jam and peanut butter in a jar
- Serve on toast
