The Chew July 4 2013 Recap

The Chew July 4 2013 featured Daphne Oz’s Avocado Toast recipe and Michael Symon’s pork souvlaki showdown with Carla Hall.
On July 4 2013 you can take a break from the ordinary cookout foods and enjoy a new kind of cooking out. Clinton Kelly made Moo Shu Chicken and veggies with Grey’s Anatomy‘s Jessica Capshaw. Daphne Oz made her avocado toast with Harissa paste, perfect for snacking. Plus, Carla Hall’s buffalo chicken and waffle cones went up against Michael Symon’s pork souvlaki and double cooked fries. Clinton Kelly and Jessica Capshaw, Grey’s Anatomy, came together to make Moo Shu Chicken and vegetables. The veggies, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and snow peas, make this dish healthy, but the sauces and chinese pancakes make this a flavor filled meal.

The Chew: Daphne Oz Avocado Toast & Harissa Paste
For a snack on the go and for all you avocado fiends, Daphne Oz gave us the recipe to her avocado toast and harissa paste. Harissa is a spicy and smokey North African paste that is normally used in Moroccan dishes. This is a dish that can transcend any meal.

The Chew: Carla Hall’s Buffalo Chicken & Michael Symon Double Cooked Fries
Carla Hall’s buffalo chicken comes with a waffle cone and coleslaw. Talk about food straight from the carnival! You’ll need a waffle cone maker, but other than that it’s fairly simple. Also, Michael Symon faced off against Hall’s buffalo chicken with his pork souvlaki and double cooked fries. Try them both and let us know which one you prefer!
