Chicago must be going mad. They have proposed a ban on energy drinks. I can’t function in the morning without my caffeine. There’s nothing wrong with a little Monster Energy Drink boost now and again. The hosts chatted about how they spent the Presidential Inauguration.
The Chew: Daphne Oz’s Apple Cornbread Cake & Mario’s Fried Cornbread
Daphne Oz and Mario Batali had a cornbread challenge. Daphne made an apple cornbread cake, while Mario had Fried Cornbread Napoleon with Brown Butter Apples. Mario’s dish was Italian of course, while Daphne made hers gluten-free. It sounds like Mario’s didn’t turn out as marvelously as he had hoped.
The Chew Gina Torres Suits Review & Carla Hall Upside Down Citrus Cake
Suits’ Gina Torres is married to Lawrence Fishburne. She lent Carla Hall a hand in the kitchen while they shared stories. Carla said that she and Gina could have been sisters in more than looks. Gina told Michael Symon and Mario what Lawrence Fishburne thinks of them. Mario complimented the cake, saying it was much better than his Cornbread Napoleon.
