The Chew is getting ready to throw the ultimate Mexican fiesta a few days early. On May 1, The Chew will be having a Cinco De Mayo party with Chef Pati Jinich. That gives you a few days to get the ingredients and do it yourself on Sunday for the big fun day. Here’s a look at how The Chew crew is commemorating the occasion.
The Chew: Cinco De Mayo
Cinco De Mayo, the fifth of May, is a holiday celebrated in the United States and parts of Mexico. The date commemorates the Battle of the Puebla during the US Civil War. It endures as a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage.
It’s also a great excuse to enjoy the delicious flavors and dishes that make Mexican-style cuisine so popular around the world. You don’t have to twist my arm to get me to enjoy delicious Mexican food any time of year, and any holiday where food takes center stage is going to excite The Chew crew as well.
