The Chew: Valerie Harper Lung Cancer
Valerie Harper is a TV legend, having stared in the much-beloved Mary Tyler Moore Show. Now, she’s coming by The Chew to give them a hand in their episode dedicated to having Thanksgiving dinner on a budget. She’ll help them in the kitchen and talk about a few topics dear to her heart.
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and as someone struggling with lung cancer herself, Valerie Harper has a deep passion for the topic. She’s partnered with The American Lung Association and Lung Force to raise awareness and get women into the fight against lung cancer.
Just a few years ago, Valerie Harper was given only three months to live following the diagnosis that she had a rare condition where cancer cells had spread to the membrane of her brain. But she’s been responding well to treatment and seem to be doing just fine. But I’m sure she’ll give The Chew crew a nice update on her health!
But the real question is, can Valerie Harper cook? We’ll find out on November 21, 2014!
The Chew: Thanksgiving on a Dime
The Chew will talk about ways to get Thanksgiving dinner for only $5 per person. Among many Extra Value Friday recipes, Mario Batali will also show off his favorite $5 meals in New York’s Greenwich Village. Hopefully, he’ll also have ideas for those of us who don’t live in expensive New York.
Tune in for all of this and so much more on November 20, 2014!
