Kelly & Michael: Stanley Tucci Halloween
Award-winning actor Stanley Tucci came by to cook with Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan. I mostly know him from The Devil Wears Prada and the Hunger Games movies, but I was excited to see what he was like as a cook too.
Before introducing Tucci, Kelly & Michael showed a clip of one of their Halloween specials where they danced to Beyoncé. It was pretty hilarious. It was from 2009 and was one of their “more terrifying episodes for obvious reasons.” They all looked like female impersonators, “even me,” Kelly said.
Kelly & Michael: Cod Baked with Tomatoes and Olives Recipe
Tucci cooked one of his favorite recipes: Cod Baked with Tomatoes and Olives. It was from his best-selling book The Tucci Table. But first they congratulated Tucci because he’s expecting a new baby. “I’ll be young again,” he said. He’s very excited. He’s also about to come back in the new Hunger Games movie. His character Caesar is nuts. He has great hair. “Any hair appeals to me,” he said. He also has great teeth.
Michael has a picture of his first time cooking with Tucci in his dressing room. His newest book is from recipes he’s picked up. But he and his wife also bonded over food, so he has a lot of British dishes in it. This is one of the dishes they love to cook together. Kelly’s scared to cook cod. It’s not a sustainable fish. We’re running out, so it can be substituted with halibut, sea bass, or group. It’s also a simple dish to make. You can also use fresh tomatoes if you want and you can also cook it on the stovetop rather than the oven if you want. Kelly & Michael tried the dish with Tucci. And they all loved it. The Tucci Table is available now and it’s very user-friendly.
