Kelly & Michael: Superstar Chefs Farm-To-Table Challenge
Live! With Kelly & Michael continued with its Superstar Chefs Farm-To-Table Challenge with a visit from chef Jean-Georges. Each week a different chef had to make a dish with Kelly & Michael while incorporating a farm fresh ingredient. You could then take a food selfie with the dish for a chance to win a $500 gift certificate for Omaha Steaks or a trip to the show. The chef with the most food selfies will win a trophy and bragging rights. Jean-Georges was actually the last superstar chef to compete in the Superstar Chefs Farm-To-Table Challenge.
Kelly & Michael: Jean-Georges Types of Squash
Jean-Georges’ ingredient was summer squash, and he had a lot of it. Kelly called him a world famous chef, and author, and a worldwide restaurateur. He made a summer squash and arugula salad. I love squash and arugula, so I think I might try this dish. Plus it looks relatively easy, which is good for me.
They talked about all of the different kinds of squash. He had ten kinds. Kelly asked about the differences. He said the shape, the sizes, and the sweetness. The taste and the texture also vary. Kelly said that this was probably the easiest recipe they had ever done, but it looked really good.
Kelly & Michael: Jean-Georges ABCV Vegan Restaurant Review
The ingredients listed and the ingredients they used were a bit different, but it looks good either way. They also said you can use a different cheese. They talked about how Jean-Georges is opening up a new restaurant in New York called ABCV, which is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant, which is so exciting for me. They also had raw zucchini and roasted zucchini. They tried it all and said it was good and gorgeous. You can get all of the recipes on the website. Michael was also wearing his gift from Kelly.
