Huey Lewis and the News Perform “Bad Is Bad”
Huey Lewis and the News were on Live! to perform “Bad is Bad” in celebration of the re-release of their biggest album, Sports. The re-release comes 30 years after the album was first recorded and marked the start of Huey Lewis and the News heading out on their Sports 30th Anniversary Tour.
Huey Lewis and the News put on a pretty good show while on Live! Their blues and rock-infused sound, which was also aided by some doo wop, sounded really good on Live! It’s like these guys never aged and everything was like it was 30 years ago. After hearing the performance, Kelly really wanted to know how Huey Lewis became so good at harmonica and he said it was due to the summer he spent in Europe between his senior year and the beginning of college. Lewis said he panhandled all around Europe with only his harmonica.
Another interesting fact of Huey Lewis is that he scored a perfect score on the math section of his SATs
“My checkbook is perfectly balanced,” he joked.
