Kelly & Michael: October 24 2014
Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan had a great day on October 24 2014. Howie Mandel came by to talk to Kelly & Michael about his hidden camera game show Deal With It and he was as hilarious as ever. Gretchen Mol also came by the show to sit down and talk with Kelly & Michael about her thought-provoking play Disgraced, which is about a dinner party where all the wrong political things get said. Finally, Kelly & Michael ended the day with their highly anticipated largest pumpkin segment. It was a really great way to end the week.
Kelly & Michael’s Inbox: AOL Backstage
Kelly & Michael ended the show by announcing that there are videos of Live! With Kelly & Michael and backstage footage on AOL’s website. That made them nervous. They’re also giving away trips for two for the Halloween show. They also opened up the Inbox and read some fan messages. One said that warmer places are better for zombies. Another said that you can’t have the flu mist if you’re old.

Kelly & Michael: Ebola, Flu Shots + Zombies
Kelly & Michael started the day by talking about the doctor who has Ebola in New York and sent him their best wishes. They then transitioned to talking about the flu and whether you should get the flu shot. Uber brings doctors with flu shots to you. Finally, they talked about the worst places to go during the zombie apocalypse.
–> The worst place is Honolulu, Hawaii.
Kelly & Michael: Facial Hair + Game of Thrones
Kelly & Michael then talked about men’s facial hair statistics because Kelly had been seeing a lot of facial hair during the World Series recently. They also talked about how people in Spain have been obsessing over Game of Thrones because they’re filming there.
–> Michael stopped watching Game of Thrones.
Kelly & Michael: Howie Mandel
Howie Mandel came by to talk about his show Deal With It, but also talked about how he’s not at all concerned about Ebola despite being a huge germaphobe. In fact, he’s better than ever. He also talked about being a grandfather and a segment he filmed for the show.
–> Deal With It is airing tonight on TBS.
Kelly & Michael: Gretchen Mol
Boardwalk Empire’s Gretchen Mol also came by to talk about her new play Disgraced as well has how sad it was to end her HBO show Boardwalk Empire. She also talked about her kids’ Halloween costumes and how her son wants her to be Wonder Woman for Halloween.
–> Disgraced is on Broadway now.
Kelly & Michael: Largest Pumpkin
Finally, Kelly & Michael did their highly anticipated largest pumpkin segment for the year today and it was a lot of fun. The pumpkin weighed 2,058 pounds, which is unbelievable. It was also really white. The grower grew this pumpkin from a seed he got from last year’s winner.
