Kelly & Michael: Carley Roney
The Nest co-founder Carley Roney came by to talk to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about food and drink ideas as a part of Live! With Kelly & Michael’s holiday gift guide segments, which I was really excited for. I don’t know too much about The Nest, but I was really excited for this segment. I love the holidays, and who doesn’t love food and drinks? She showed all food and drink gifts that were half homemade and then amped up with a couple of purchases.
Kelly & Michael: Uncommon Gifts Beer Opening Glass Review
The first thing she showed was a snack and beer gift, which was really fun. It had beer, beer bottle opener, glasses, and homemade popcorn. She showed cool Beer Opening Glasses from Uncommon Gifts that have an opener on the bottom, which is amazing. I thought this was such a cool idea. She paired it with homemade gourmet popcorn such as cheese, peanut butter, and more. Put it all in a basket.

For a sweets lover, or someone who has a big family and needs lots of breakfast, you can make a basket with baking supplies. Put dry ingredients in a mason jar then put some tea towels in a basket and put everything you’d need for baking and give them that. It’s a really cute gift. You can put cranberry muffins and chocolate chip zucchini bread in too.
Kelly & Michael: Cookie and Tea Gift Set
For the tea lover, you can give amazing cookies and tea. She had awesome mugs shaped like a face and you can slide cookies into the mouth from uncommon good. Kelly thought they were scary. Michael liked it. You could also use a classic Kelly & Michael Christmas mug. Then make cookies and pair it with a box of tea. Kelly wanted to give that to Anderson Cooper for his appendectomy.
Kelly & Michael: DIY Cheese Tray Gift Idea
The next one was more DIY than the others. Take a board, put tape around it, and paint it with chalkboard paint. Then make your own cheese tray. Glue handles on it. You can also order Scrabble tiles and kids can glue them together and pair them with monogrammed mugs.
Kelly & Michael: Chocolate Bark Hostess Gift
For the chocolate lover, you can make bark. Melt chocolate and mix in whatever you want like pretzels, peanuts, or peppermint. Then put it onto a cute plate, like one from CB2. They make a great hostess gift too. Michael stole one.
Kelly & Michael: Italian Gift Basket
Finally, for a foodie, you can make an Italian basket. Get a colander, a tea towel, pasta, wine, and sauce. Wrap it all up with some kitchen utensils.
