Kelly and Michael: Nursing Home Stripper Scandal
Everyone has been talking about a nursing home that hired a male stripper to entertain its residents, so Kelly and Michael shared more details on this. Now the son of one of the residents, 85-year-old Bernice Youngblood, is suing the home for exposing his mother to this.
Now, there’s an update on the story, which says that the residents unanimously voted to throw a spring break party for themselves. Kelly Ripa reported that the residents enjoyed their entertainment, and the wife of the man bringing suit was also at the party.
Michael said you never know what your parents’ pasts might contain, or what they do in their free time or with their money. “We all got here somehow,” Kelly said. Strahan did his Madea impression…at least he can nail that accent.
The hosts agreed that by age 85, you have the right to entertain yourself however you would like.
Kelly & Michael: Lost Letter Delivered 45 Years Later
A mother sent her daughter a birthday letter in 1969. The letter was lost in the mail for years, and since then, the mom passed away. Now it has been found and delivered all these years later. It was delivered to the current resident of her old address, and he tracked the intended recipient down.
The letter is still sealed with a kiss from its author, and now the daughter has a birthday card that was lost in time. The woman has been thinking about making a big move in life, and she feels that this message from her mother is encouragement to follow through on her goals.
Kelly said that when her grandmother passed away, her mother would still call out for her, forgetting that she was no longer there. “Sometimes 45 years later is right on time,” Michael said.
Kelly Ripa wondered what happened to the letter for all these years. “When’s the last time they’ve swept?” Strahan said. Even if it got stuck somewhere, it should have been delivered by now. Ripa said that sometimes people receive damaged mail, and that it usually looks very torn up.
