NFL Network: Michael Strahan A Football Life
Michael Strahan was profiled on the NFL Network biography series A Football Life during the October 15 episode. He said he learned about himself and some of his close friends by watching his own biography.
He said it was nice to see and hear from some of his old and new friends. But his parents were the best part, Kelly and Michael agreed. Michael said that his father was “the most quiet I’ve ever seen him,” but he said that his mother hurt his feelings.
When asked whether it was hard for her to send her son from Germany to Texas so he could pursue football, she immediately said it was easy! Kelly reiterated her theory that parents love the most successful child least, which can fluctuate as children’s successes fluctuate.

“You always root for your child who is doing the worst,” Kelly Ripa said. Strahan also joked that he was hurt to learn that she had never seen the Super Bowl game that he and his team won.
She also read one of Michael’s quotations from the show about how nervous he is every time he goes out on the field or walks into the Live! studio, because he does not want to let anyone down. Even though show tickets are free, he wants out-of-towners to have a great experience at the show.
Tony Gonzalez said he wants to imitate Strahan’s blueprint and pursue a television career when he is done with football. Kelly reread one of her own quotes from the special, talking about Michael’s many talents. What do you think Michael is best at?
Kelly and Michael: Christian Grey Search
Who is going to play Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, now that Charlie Hunnam has dropped out? Michael Strahan insisted that he is still available, though Matt Bomer seems to be a frontrunner among fans.
“They need to think outside the box with this casting,” Kelly suggested.
Kelly & Michael: Cocaine Addiction Vs Oreo Addiction
Oreos are a popular American snack cookie, and the audience went wild for them. But did you know that the snacks are just as addictive as cocaine among lab rats? Even the rats eat the creamy center first…how do you eat your Oreo?
This study was conducted at a Connecticut college, and the cookies activated pleasure centers in the brain “more than exposure to cocaine or morphine.” This is really lending credence to food addiction; maybe instead of a war on drugs, we will be talking about a war on junk food soon.
Wild Wake Up Travel Trivia: Michael Strahan Middle Name
Leslee from Minnesota was surprised to get a call from the co-hosts. She was playing for a vacation to the Red Mountain Resort in Utah. All she had to do was answer this question:
What is Michael Strahan’s middle name?
She remembered that it is Anthony, and she helped someone in the audience take home a $500 Bed, Bath & Beyond gift certificate.
