Kelly and Michael announced that this season for their show, they have a new game called Time To Smile Travel Trivia.
Kelly commented on the balls having smiley faces on them, and Gelman shared that they even created Kelly and Michael emojis. “How you gon’ put a gap on an emoji?” Michael pointed out. It’s true! Even his emoji face had a gap and Michael said he wanted it to use in text messages.

Kelly and Michael had Dave Parry from Ortonville, Michigan on the phone to play the trivia game. He said he had a daughter named Olivia who’s a freshman at Michigan State. He said it was strange dropping her off at school but they had a great time. He did say there were no tears when they dropped her off, which is different than the experience my parents had when they dropped me off for college!
Michael talked about dropping a kid off at college saying it makes you feel like you’re getting older. “Every time I pass a mirror I’m reminded of that,” Kelly said.
Kelly & Michael: Lea Michele Trivia To Win Saint Lucia Trip
Kelly spun the wheel to determine where Dave could get a chance to go on vacation. It landed on St. James’s Club Morgan Bay in Saint Lucia. He could win a seven day, six night stay with round-trip airfare included. All he had to do was correctly answer the trivia question. Come on Dave!
With twenty seconds and only one guess, Dave had to answer the following question: “On yesterday’s show, we talked to Lea Michele. What singer did Lea say she met for the first time at the Grammy Awards?”
He knew the answer right away: Barbra Streisand!
Live: Audience Member Wins Lenox Fine China
Dave said he was dancing around the living room, and there’s no wonder why! He then had to pick a member of the audience to win eight place settings of American made fine china from Lenox valued at more than $500. He picked number 29 because he and his wife were going to be celebrating their 29th wedding anniversary.
Kelly & Michael: Back To School Photos
Live With Kelly and Michael viewers sent in their back to school photos for the duo to share during the show.
They first showed a picture of a little boy named Tyler on his first day of kindergarten. But it wasn’t just a simple back to school picture. He had his picture taken on the first day of second, third, and fourth year preschool, and each year took a picture holding the picture from the previous year. So it was like a picture within a picture times three. I’ll have to remember that idea for my son in a few years!
Heidi from Georgia shared a picture of her boys who had a hard time getting out the door for school. The picture shows her husband grabbing the boys feet while they cling onto the door frame, not wanting to leave. Very creative!
