Kelly Ripa said that she loves to read stories about engagement rings in the news. Who should keep the ring in a broken engagement: the woman or the man? She said it is the only thing she and Michael Strahan fight about.
He thinks that the guy should get his ring back, while her opinion is it is the woman’s to keep. Kelly shared the latest story of a man who broke up with his fiancee via text message. Ripa said she is going to be better off without him.
But he also made the mistake of texting her the news that she could keep the $50,000 ring as a parting gift. Later, he changed his mind and attempted to sue her to get the ring back. The judge used his text message to prove that the man clearly stated she could keep the 2.97 karat diamond ring.
Kelly & Michael love to debate who keeps the engagement ring if a couple breaks up before the wedding, but the latest case has produced a clear winner.
Michael found a lesson in this story. He agreed that the man should not have broken up with her by text. Michael’s advice for next time is to get the ring back before you break up with the woman. Kelly was disgusted by this plan, but it seems like Strahan was joking.

Michael said that he usually wants to take pictures with fans, but they very often don’t know how to operate the cameras on their phones. Kelly said her arms are too short when she takes selfies.
