Kelly & Michael: Angie Miller “American Idol” Finalist
Angie Miller, the talented 19-year-old from Beverly, Massachusetts, recently participated in the Season 12 American Idol finale. Unfortunately, Angie wasn’t crowned this year’s American Idol (that title went to Candice Glover), but she did bring her talents to Live! With Kelly & Michael for a great performance.
Angie Miller: “You Set Me Free” Performance
Angie Miller took the Live! With Kelly & Michael stage to perform her original song “You Set Me Free.” She also played the piano while she sang. After hearing Angie’s performance, it’s clear how vastly different each finalist was this season. While Candice’s voice is more soulful, and Kree Harrison’s style is influenced by country music, Angie’s voice is more high and light. All three are so different and talented, it must have been a very tough decision for America to choose just one winner!
Angie Miller: First Song Written At Five Years Old
Angie later revealed to Kelly and Michael that she almost didn’t audition for American Idol. She graduated high school in May, and debated whether to audition in June or attend college in the fall. In the end, she decided that college will always be there, but her dream of launching a music career couldn’t wait.
“I think you’re a real superstar,” Kelly told Angie, who writes, sings, and performs all of her own music. In fact, Angie wrote her first song when she was just five years old; “if you can call it a ‘song,’” she said. She even sang the tune a apella for the audience.
Along with Candice Glover and Kree Harrison, you can catch Angie Miller on tour with American Idol this summer.
