Just days later, she visited Kelly and Michael to perform her popular song “Over You,” which catapulted her to the top of the competition. She took the stage all by herself to sing a song that recalled holiday imagery and fit well with the set’s December decorations.
I did not have the chance to see The Voice this season, but from the sound of this, the winner was a good choice. Her sound is radio ready, and she may go on to be a huge success. If you watched The Voice this season, tell me what you thought of the competition. Was Cassadee the right choice as winner?

Kelly Ripa said she has an angelic voice. Cassadee admits she still hasn’t sunk in that she is the winner, and the last several days since the finale were a whirlwind of excitement. “Over You” was written by Miranda Lambert and Cassadee’s coach on the show, Blake Shelton.
During the blind auditions, all four coaches turned around and wanted Cassadee for their team. She chose Blake because she felt he would let her have her own artistic freedom.

The Voice will return in March 2013 with two new judges at the table. Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are taking a break. Joining Adam Levine and Blake will be Shakira and Usher.
