Kelly & Michael: Daughtry
Kelly & Michael played a clip of Daughtry’s music video from “Waiting for Superman.” Chris Daughtry was singing and walking around on the street. The audience was already cheering. He’s really good. He was actually a contestant and finalist on American Idol. He’s obviously very talented. Daughtry’s new CD Baptized is out now. They played their new hit song “Battleships.”
Kelly & Michael: Battleships Performance Review
It was intense. It had a really good beat and was kind of electronic. Chris Daughtry was really into it. He sang about how he wants and needs someone. He doesn’t want to fight this war. He promised they were going to make it. They’re “like battleships.” The rest of the band was singing and adding a chanting kind of feel to it.
It really added to the feel and vibe of the song. Daughtry sang about how he doesn’t want to fight anymore. It was a really good song. It was really easy to get into even if it was about how this couple was having problems. They were all really talented and Daughtry had a really great voice. He was also dancing around. It was a really energetic song. I really liked it.

Kelly & Michael: Daughtry Tour
Kelly & Michael then talked to Daughtry. Daughtry not only has a new CD out now, but they’re also going on tour with the Goo Goo Dolls this summer. They’re actually about to hit the road. It must be exhausting. They’re starting in Wallingford, Connecticut. One person in the audience knew where that was.
Chris Daughtry wasn’t sure how long the tour was. It’ll be 50 or 60 dates or even more. It’s very exciting. That sounds like it would be a great concert to go to. They’re all so incredibly talented. Michael said that a lot of people will show up to the concerts, but if they don’t they can still go and buy the new CD, which is an excellent point.
Kelly & Michael: Daughtry Missing Ice Cube
Kelly & Michael announced the guests for tomorrow, which includes Ice Cube. Chris Daughtry got upset. “We’re gonna miss that?” he demanded. It was cute. He should just come back tomorrow.
Kelly & Michael: Long Live Rock & Roll Performance
Daughtry then played “Long Live Rock & Roll” as the show ended. It was also a very up-tempo song. It was a happy song. It was a nice tribute to great people in rock and his love of rock.
