Caillat played her new hit “Never Gonna Let You Down” as the show ended. She sat on a stool and just sang with her microphone while a man with a guitar and a man with drums played behind her. She has such a beautiful and strong voice. Her songs are always filled with such emotions. “Never Gonna Let You Down” is a really sweet and hopeful song.
Caillat sang about how that if you’re heart has been broken, or you feel alone or like you’ve been let down, or if you need something to believe in and you’re looking for a light to guide you home, you can look inside at the light shining inside and that you should know that she’s never going to let you down. It was a really optimistic song and she sang it beautifully.
She sang that she’s always going to build you up and will always find you love as the tempo got faster. She sang that she’s never going to walk away and will always have your back and you can count on that if nothing else. It was just really positive and sweet. I love that she always sings hopeful songs like these. It was all just about how she’ll be there for this person and all the things she’ll do for this person. The guy playing the guitar also sang in the background.
She always has such simple songs and she always performs so simply. She doesn’t dance around too much or make a real show of it, but she doesn’t have to. That just adds with it and fits with her kind of music. It’s all very earnest. It was a really great performance.
