Kelly & Michael: Murder in the First
Taye Diggs was a great co-host today, and Kelly & Taye Diggs finally showed a clip from his new show Murder in the First at the end of Live! With Kelly & Michael on June 9 2014. In the clip from the show, Diggs’ character comforts a woman by saying that she stopped something from happening. She was pretty upset and didn’t seem convinced. They’re both detectives, I think, and she said that she should have waited for backup. He agreed, but she was stopping a crime in progress. She said that wasn’t an excuse. He asked her if she stopped him, and she said yes. He also pointed out that she also stopped him from committing more crimes in the future.
Kelly & Michael: Murder in the First Reviews
Kelly said that the reviews for Murder in the First are incredible, and Diggs said, “Thank God.” They were chatting quietly to each other while the clip was ending, and I think Diggs was talking about watching himself to make sure that he’s on the same page.
Kelly & Michael: Murder in the First Summary
Murder in the First is only ten episodes. The show focuses on a single case. The case goes through the whole season. Diggs plays a homicide detective. Kelly asked if he cracks the code and the cracks the crime. He said, “We tried to crack the codes.” He said we’ll just have to wait and see! He said there are a lot of twists and turns and that it’s good to get out there and do something a little different. Kelly said that she never tires of watching him act. I completely agree. He was very flattered.
Kelly & Michael: Taye Diggs Trained with Cops
Diggs trained with police officers for this role. He went to cop school for a couple of days and learned how to shoot guns and use handcuffs. They spoke with an officer in San Francisco, where they shot the exteriors. He said he tips his hat to the police officers. He learned how to fire a gun while keeping his eyes open. It’s hard to do that and look good on TV at the same time. Murder in the First premieres tonight on TNT. Kelly thanked Diggs for co-hosting.
