Sarah Silverman: First Time Meeting Kelly Ripa
Sarah Silverman is an actress, comedian, writer, and Kelly Ripa’s self-proclaimed “best friend!” Sarah was so excited to see Kelly (and Michael) that she even put on her “lady dress.” Sarah’s usual attire is a lot more casual than the red dress and heels that she wore on the show; she prefers hoodies and button-down shirts. She also hates walking in heels, unlike Kelly, who finds sneakers to be uncomfortable!

Kelly and Sarah reminisced on the very first time they met, when Kelly pulled out her clip-on hair extensions and gave them to Sarah. Sarah admitted that she kept them for about three years after that, and then joked that she sold them to the Smithsonian. After the commercial break, Sarah returned with a brand new blonde hair extension that Kelly had pulled out for her!
Sarah Silverman: Getting to New York
Of course, with all of the complications caused by Hurricane Sandy, traveling to New York has been very difficult. Sarah was originally supposed to arrive on Tuesday, but couldn’t get in until Thursday. She finally made it because she was so determined to visit Kelly & Michael.
Sarah Silverman: Vanellope in “Wreck It Ralph”
Sarah Silverman is currently starring in Wreck It Ralph, where she lends her voice to the character of Vanellope. Vanellope is a nine-year-old girl who lives inside of the video game “Sugar Rush.” She dreams of becoming a racer, but she can’t, because she is only a computer glitch. When she meets Ralph, they eventually bond over the fact that they are outcasts who dream of becoming heroes.
Kelly & Michael: Sarah Silverman Bed Wetting
Sarah believes that the story of the film is a great lesson, because it shows that no matter what your “glitch” may be, it can also be your greatest asset. Sarah’s own “glitch” was the fact that she wet the bed until she was “well into her teens.” It was extremely embarrassing, and made slumber parties and sleep-away camp “humiliating.” However, when she began performing in stand-up comedy, being a bed wetter didn’t seem so bad anymore. It gave her the courage to stand up in front of a crowd, and not care whether or not they hated her!
Sarah, Kelly and Michael watched a clip from Wreck It Ralph featuring Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) and Vanellope meeting for the very first time. The film also features Jack McBrayer. Wreck It Ralph is now in theaters, and is a great comedy for the whole family.
You should have Kelly’s wardrobe person invest in some basic cami’s in black and white (most women get this) so that we don’t have to see the bone where most women have clevage. Her hair extensions have done their time……really a little old listening to her talk about the ALL the time as she looks as if she is wearing a wig. Not a bully but is the show all about her……if the Today show was not in such turmoil I would not ever watch!
