Exercising his rock star swag, Lenny Kravitz had some explaining to do. The legendary rocker and actor was recently in an L.A. store called Church, frequented by Michael Strahan’s fiancee Nicole Murphy. He said that he was just giving her some criticism about the clothes she was considering buying, but she ended up walking out with a pretty big bill. The problem is that everything looks good on Nicole and Michael Strahan was footing the bill. Lenny claimed he had no idea.

Guest co-host Nicole Richie told Kravitz that she always knows when her dad, Lionel Richie, has been hanging out with Lenny. He comes home with a new pair of leather pants, wanting to wear it with a ripped tee and blazer. She then reminds him that he’s in his 60s and shouldn’t be clubbing with Lenny Kravitz, but at home with his grandkids. Hey, it’s Lionel Richie. He does what he wants.
Lenny Kravitz Celebrates 25 Year Career
This is the 25th year of Lenny Kravitz’s amazing career. He said that he has always been himself and he feels blessed that his fan base has stuck with him. After 25 years, Kravitz said he still has places on his bucket list to visit. India, Vietnam, and Galapagos Islands are all on the list.
Lenny Kravitz Talks Family & Zoe Kravitz
Lenny Kravitz said that filming The Butler brought him back to his childhood. He was very close to his grandfather, who was an amazing man that taught him valuable life lessons. At age 9, Kravitz’s grandfather had to be the man of the family. He traveled all the way to New York City and provided for his family so his daughter, Lenny’s mom, could go to a good college and on to acting school in England. Kravitz said his grandfather paved the way for his mother, him, and his daughter Zoe to have the amazing lives they do today.
Kravitz said that he has a fantastic relationship with his daughter Zoe. He lived with her all through her teen years and she’s his best friend. Nicole Richie said that when she hit age 25, she saw the father daughter relationship change. Kravitz said that he has seen his daughter grow and change, but they grow a lot closer every day. Zoe Kravitz is turning 25 in December.
Lenny Kravitz Didn’t Audition for Lee Daniels
Lenny Kravitz said that the set of his character James Holloway’s home reminded him of growing up. In Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Kravitz was taken back in time. He was also in Lee Daniels’ Precious, playing Nurse John. Kravitz didn’t have to audition for the films, Daniels was searching for him. He wanted to put Kravitz in films to see if he had his mother’s talent.
The Butler opens August 16 2013 in theaters everywhere.
