Taylor Lautner: Keeping His Shirt On?

As the Twilight saga’s resident buff vampire, Taylor Lautner is used to to taking his shirt off in front of the camera. When he joined Kelly and Michael to discuss the end of the popular film franchise, Taylor said that he hopes he’ll be able to keep his clothes on in movies from now on. According to Taylor, his shirt was shed too many times during the making of Twilight. “I disagree!” Kelly said, speaking for women everywhere.

Taylor said that his physique is a lot different now than it was during his time as Jacob Black. To stay in such great shape, he had to work out non-stop and eat a very disciplined, high-protein diet. That meant burgers, but never any buns! Now, Taylor is a lot less bulky, but he’s probably glad to be able to indulge in some carbs.

Taylor Lautner Vs Michael Strahan: Football Challenge

Taylor is very athletic, and he played football from the time he was seven up until high school. Unfortunately, he eventually had to give it up as his acting career took up more and more of his time. He tried to do both, but it didn’t work out so well.

Michael said that he could get Taylor a try-out, if he wanted to consider a new football career. But while Taylor found it tempting, he had to admit that being a movie star “has its perks.” I don’t blame him!

Michael still decided to put Taylor’s football skills to the test in a challenge. Taylor pushed a sled–with Kelly Ripa hanging on to it for dear life–across the finish line in an impressive six seconds. Michael decided to up the ante and ask a male audience member to grab onto his sled, so that his was a lot heavier. Michael completed his challenge in five seconds, but he said that he’d be sore for a week! Check out the friendly competition below.

Taylor Lautner: Cameo in “Grown Ups 2”

One of Taylor’s first post-Twilight roles will be a cameo in the Adam Sandler comedy Grown Ups 2. Taylor said that it was “super fun” and “an honor” to be on set with such a talented group of comedians. He had a lot of fun trying his hand at comedy.

Taylor Lautner: “Breaking Dawn Part 2”

Breaking Dawn Part 2 is the highly anticipated finale to the Twilight series. Throughout four films, Taylor’s character Jacob Black has been in love with Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). However, at the end of Breaking Dawn Part 1, Bella married vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Taylor said that in the last film, Jacob accepts Bella as only his friend, grows up, and becomes a lot happier.

Taylor Lautner: “Serious” Shirtless Scene

For all of you “Team Jacob” fans out there… here’s some news you’ll appreciate. While Taylor asked the director to limit his shirtless scenes in Breaking Dawn Part 2, there is still one that he called very “serious.” There was even some “werewolf manscaping” involved!
