Kelly & Michael: Robert Pattinson
If you haven’t heard by now, there is a new Twilight movie coming out this month. Kristen Stewart was on the show this week, and the co-hosts had an audience packed with screaming Twi-hards in honor of their next guest, Robert Pattinson. As usual, he looked quite pale, though that’s probably how I would look in high definition. With screaming girls waving Robert Pattinson merchandise in the audience, Michael Strahan reassured the actor that he would be safe from the crowd.

Kelly Ripa said even her family members aren’t able to control themselves around Robert. She asked him about his Australian skydiving adventure, when she could get a word in edgewise. She wanted to know how he got permission to go skydiving, and he said his bosses didn’t know about it.
He said it was like therapy, and he really enjoyed the experience. I guess they know about it now, but after this last movie comes out, maybe he’ll be free to engage in whatever daredevil behavior he wants.

Michael asked Robert about his international travels to promote the films, and he admitted he enjoys the minibar. He really seemed to have to think hard about his favorite snacks and drinks, but finally he settled on gummy bears.
Kelly asked if he likes Toblerone chocolate, but Robert said you can only find those in the expensive hotels. What’s the strangest delicacy he’s ever tried? Robert said in Japan he ate a skewered fish, which the chef gave a name before cooking and serving. But Robert couldn’t bring himself to eat it.

Robert removed his jacket because he said it was hot in the studio, but Kelly was disappointed that he kept his pants on. It was time for a rapid fire Q&A, though Kelly warned the actor that this game didn’t work out too well in the end for Mitt and Ann Romney.
Robert Pattinson said he wanted to be “a child” when he grew up, his first kiss was from his grandmother, and his favorite sandwich was “sandwich.” I think he was a little overwhelmed by all the pressure.
Robert Pattinson Guinness Beer, Tight Dress & Tongue Roll
Thankfully Michael made it multiple choice for the next question, and Robert said he prefers Guinness beer and going early to bed. He doesn’t have a side of the bed, because he takes up the whole thing. Kelly tried a British accent and learned that Robert doesn’t have any birthmarks that he knows of.
Robert also admitted he likes tight dresses, bangers and mash, and does believe in love at first sight. He demonstrated that he can roll his tongue, even though he didn’t think he could. Kelly rewarded him with a Kelly and Michael mug featuring vampire teeth.
Kelly & Michael: Robert Pattinson Twilight Swear Jar
There was apparently a swear jar on the set of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. Robert said he doesn’t know which of his co-stars contributed the most. Kelly said it’s an child actor’s trick to cash in. Robert said it was great working with Mackenzie Foy, the actress who plays his daughter in the new movie.
Kelly brought up the Edward-Bella love story and wondered how her conversion into a vampire has changed the romance. Apparently now that she is a vampire, Edward can no longer kill her. Robert basically suggested that all that was left for them to explore was porn, which I don’t think fans would mind.
