Ricky Martin Living In New York City
Now that he’s a Broadway star, international music superstar Ricky Martin is living full time in New York City. Ricky first lived in New York when he was eighteen, right after he left the boy band Menudo. Because Menudo had become so famous, Ricky was looking to “feel anonymous for a minute.” Ricky lived in Long Island City, Queens, and enjoyed a simple life as a New Yorker.

Ricky has twin four-year-old sons, Matteo and Valentino, whom Kelly called two of the most beautiful boys ever. The boys are two little New Yorkers as well, and they are attending school. Despite his busy schedule, Ricky drops them off and picks them up from school every day. The parents and teachers sometimes get excited when they see him, but they’re getting used to him!
Michael has twins as well, seven-year-old girls Sophia and Isabella. He wanted to know, does Ricky buy two of everything, and try to keep everything the same to be fair? Ricky said that he’s tried, but it’s not easy, because his boys have two very different personalities.
Ricky Martin Developing NBC Television Show
Last season, Ricky had a great time guest starring on Glee; but would he ever do his own television show? Totally! And actually, that’s exactly what’s happening! Ricky revealed that he has signed a holding deal with NBC for his own show that he will produce, write, and star in. The show is still in development, but Ricky is very excited about it. Kelly said that Ricky isn’t just a triple threat; he’s like a quintuple threat!
Ricky Martin As Che In Evita On Broadway
Ricky is currently starring as Che in Evita, the classic musical about the life of Argentina’s first lady Eva Peron. Ricky was itching to get back on stage after starring in Les Miserables, which he referred to as a very special experience. Evita had been in development for about five years. The show is so popular, that two of the shirts Ricky wears in the show sold for the Broadway Cares charity sold for $11,000 each.
Because there is so much great dancing in the show, Ricky taught Kelly how to dance a waltz and tango mix; he even performed a lift! Then, Kelly and Michael gave it a try together, and looked like two seasoned Broadway pros!
Evita is currently playing on Broadway at the Marquee Theater, so don’t miss it!
