Keri Russell: The Americans
The Americans star Keri Russell said on Live! with Kelly and Michael that she is nothing like her character. Her character is a cold-hearted mother and Russian Spy. When she started playing the role, her six-year-old son’s friends started realizing that his mom was a big time actress.
After school one day, Russell’s son came home and told her that she shouldn’t be playing her role on The Americans. He told her that she’s not Russian and she’s not a spy, so no one would ever believe her! As for the cold-hearted mom part? He didn’t have a comment.
Kelly & Michael: Keri Russell Closet Workout
Keri Russell said she often hides in her closet to get a workout in. She has trouble finding time to herself, so she’ll pull out a yoga DVD or Tracy Anderson workout moves. Sometimes, Russell just has a mini dance party to shake out any bad feelings or tension.
Michael Strahan got up for the second time in the hour and had a dance party. He really must be gearing up for a cameo in Magic Mike 2.
Austenland Review: Jennifer Coolidge Steals the Show
A “lonely heart” girl heads to a Jane Austen resort in Austenland. Keri Russell’s character thinks that the only good men are fictional, so she goes to the resort in order to meet men who are paid to act like Jane Austen characters. She said that it’s a really funny film and her co-star Jennifer Coolidge makes the film hilarious.
In a clip from the film, Russell argued Elizabeth Bennett-style with an actor playing Mr Darcy. It was funny and good acting, but Coolidge definitely steals the show in the end, calling the Fake Darcy an old windbag.
Austenland hits theaters everywhere September 27 2013.
