Kelly & Michael: Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore came by to talk to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about her movie Still Alice, which looks so good and she actually just won a Golden Globe for. I was definitely excited to hear more about it. She actually won her third Golden Globe. She’s one of he most talented and beautiful actresses in Hollywood. She seemed really excited to be there, but said she was a lame high fiver. Her kids actually make fun of her for it. Kelly told her to look at the elbow. She always looks at their face.

Moore just got a Golden Globe for Still Alice. She’s spellbinding and captivating in ever performance, but even more so now. She said it was fantastic. It happened at the end of the night and she was getting really tense. She’s really superstitious and didn’t write a speech. You could lose, and she’s been there too. Since it happened at the end of the night, was everyone drunk? Nobody eats. You don’t want food in your teeth and you’re nervous. She wasn’t tipsy. She only had one glass of champagne. They celebrated a while, but they had to catch a plane for their son’s basketball game, and they won. It was close.

Kelly and Moore have something in common. They were both on soap operas. Moore was on As the World Turns. She won an Emmy for it. They showed a clip. Her character wanted Kevin out of his life because he’s a liar. But she should forgive him because she loves him. Kevin was played by Steven Weber. “What was the matter with my voice?” Moore asked. The first thing Kelly did when she could was burn her tapes.

Still Alice is beautiful and moving. Kelly said she had anxiety watching it because it could happen to anyone. She’s in the prime of her life and suddenly she gets Early Onset Alzheimer’s. So often, it’s misdiagnosed as a condition of aging, but it’s a disease.
It has an amazing cast. Moore’s known Kristin Stewart since she was 12. Alec Baldin was also a soap star.
Someone forwarded an email from a client of the Alzheimer’s Association and it said it was the first time that they felt represented. She talked to people for research and they were all really kind. Kelly said it should be assigned viewing. People often feel dismissed and ashamed, but this will help make them feel part of a community.
In the clip, Moore’s daughter, played by Stewart , asked her what it feels like for her. It’s not always the same. She has good days and bad days. Sometimes she feels like she can’t find herself. She was always defined by her intellect. Still Alice will be in theaters in select cities on January 16 2015.
