Kelly & Michel: Ice Cube’s Kids Moving Out
Last time he was on the show, Ice Cube said he couldn’t do anything to get his kids out of the house. His oldest son moved out, and now his second oldest is talking about moving out. Now it’s too quick! He didn’t want them all to go! His oldest son is 27. It was time.

Ice Cube has a big weekend coming up next week. It’s his birthday and Father’s Day. Plus, 22 Jump Street is coming out. He’s going to relax and watch 22 Jump Street. He didn’t rent out a movie theater for his friends because he wants them to pay. He’ll give them free food when they come over though.
He didn’t have huge birthdays growing up; some of them were cool though. Kelly’s daughter has a summer birthday and she said she always feels robbed of a party. Nobody’s around. Ice Cube said her friends will just be even more free in the summer. Ice Cube had nice birthdays when he was young He ate cake. He would freak out when the balloons would pop, though, when he was a kid.
Kelly & Michael: How Ice Cube Got His Nickname
How did Ice Cube get his nickname? People started calling him Ice Cube when he was 12 or 13 years old. His older brother gave him the nickname. He thought he was always trying to be too cool for his age, but he was just trying to be like him. He said he was going to throw him in the freezer and if he thinks he’s that cool, he’ll call him Ice Cube. He loved it and told everyone to call him that. He only has one brother.

Ice Cube’s working on a new album called Everything’s Corrupt. He joked that it was a “happening album.” He has a new song called “Drop Girl” that will be out this summer that he worked on with Redfoo from LMFAO and 2 Chainz. His song’s actually in 22 Jump Street.
Kelly & Michael: Ice Cube as Capt. Dickson
They talked about 22 Jump Street. Ice Cub is reprising his role as Capt. Dickson, who is an angry precinct captain. He loved coming back to this role. He said he’s a cliché black, angry captain, and he said he took it to the next level. His character hates Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.

He liked working with Hill and Tatum. Hill’s a very serious professional as an actor and a producer. Ice Cube’s a producer too. He likes to watch and draw from other producers.

Kelly & Michael played a clip from 22 Jump Street. Capt, Dickson gave Hill and Channing their new assignments. 22 Jump Street will be in theaters on June 13 2014.
