Kelly & Michael: Gretchen Mol
Boardwalk Empire star Gretchen Mol came by to talk to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about her new play Disgraced, which Josh Radnor already came by to talk about. Disgraced is about a dinner party where people say all the wrong things and it looks really interesting. I really liked her blue outfit. Kelly loved it too. She called it everything. Mol’s been into the pantsuit lately. It takes less effort. She looked very sophisticated.

Mol has two kids. Her daughter wanted to be Elsa for Halloween, but there are lots of Elsas so she’s a ladybug and her son’s a ghost. That’s the easiest costume ever. People used to just use sheets, but now you have to order a costume.
Mol’s daughter had a bunch of ideas, but she negotiated. She couldn’t go trick or treating because of the play, but she’ll do something. Her son wants her to be Wonder Woman for Halloween, but she doesn’t want to. They had a picture of her photoshopped as Wonder Woman.

Mol got to wear such amazing costumes on Boardwalk Empire. It went so fast and she’s sad it’s over. It lasted five years and she had her daughter during it. It was such an amazing show.
Kelly & Michael: Disgraced Review
Last night was the opening night of her show Disgraced. How was she even awake this morning? She got like two hours of sleep. Disgraced is a Pulitzer Prize winning play. It’s about two very diverse couples who have a dinner party and talk about all the things you shouldn’t talk about during a dinner party. It gets very heated and makes you think. Mol was really nervous for the opening night, but there were previews, which helped. It ended up okay, and she’s happy that it’s over now.
She was in the ‘20s and ‘30s in Boardwalk Empire, but now she’s doing something edgy, relevant, and contemporary. She’s really excited about that. She loves doing fun, happy, silly things, but she also loved the opportunity to do something like this. It’s definitely different from what she was doing before, but she really likes it. Disgraced is on Broadway now.
