Kelly & Michael: Don Cheadle
Don Cheadle came by to talk to Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about his show House of Lies. I haven’t watched the show, but I was really excited for this interview. I think Cheadle’s a lot of fun. He’s an award-winning actor who’s played everything from a con man to an action hero. He had a great entrance. He danced and everything. Someone even yelled out from the audience.
Kelly & Michael: Don Cheadle Broncos Fan
Cheadle’s a big football fan. He’s looking forward to the Super Bowl, but his team, the Broncos, “went out in a blaze of unglory.” His family doesn’t care. Michael also didn’t care. Kelly cared.
Kelly & Michael: Don Cheadle Family
Cheadle’s family is really competitive. They have board game nights and dance battles. They try to play games where everyone can win, but there are no fun games like that. Someone usually cries.
Kelly & Michael: Don Cheadle Designer Wife
His wife is a designer and uses their house as an experimental space. He comes home sometimes and there’s a whole new room. They showed before and after pictures. It’s fun and they have a beautiful home. He’s totally fine with it. It does cost a lot, but it’s cool to come home to a new home sometimes. He has gone to his chair and fallen down before realizing it wasn’t there though.
Kelly & Michael: ‘House of Lies’ Season 4
In the clip of House of Lies, Cheadle told Kristen Bell’s character that she was a dishonest person and didn’t have an off switch. He might drown, but it won’t be because of her. They’re on season 4 already, and things aren’t going to well for his character. He went to prison because Bell’s character set him up. She also dropped a bombshell. They’re having a child together. This show sounds so intense. His character puts himself in those positions and this is the fallout.
His son is also going through things. He’s becoming a teenager. The actor has grown up on the show, which is cool. The whole cast is actually really close.
Cheadle also did a Miles Davis movie, which should be amazing. House of Lies airs on Sundays on Showtime. I think I’m going to check it out.
