Kelly and Michael: Clark Gregg
From Iron Man, Thor, and The Avengers, Clark Gregg is reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson in the new series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., one of the hardest TV series names to type because it has so many periods in it. He danced out for his interview with Kelly and Michael.

It was Gregg’s first appearance on Live!, though he has been a fan of the show through the years. He was rooting for Kelly Ripa to get the job with Regis many years ago. That’s when Gregg first started dating his now-wife, Jennifer Grey. He watched the show daily while he was recuperating from an injury.

“We get so many people hooked on our show when they are…incapacitated and can’t change the channel,” Ripa said.
Clark Gregg: Jennifer Grey Dancing with the Stars
Jennifer Grey won a past season of Dancing with the Stars, which Gregg thought would be a good contest for Michael Strahan. But Strahan said it is very difficult and he was impressed by Grey’s moves. A fan, Page Branson, created some fan art of Agent Coulson lifting Jennifer Grey in the iconic Dirty Dancing pose.
However, Gregg claimed he has never tried to recreate that pose at home with his wife, which I find hard to believe.
Kelly and Michael: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Review
Gregg is leading the team on the new series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., a show that even has Kelly’s sons excited. He has followed his character through several movies, and he had a crucial role in The Avengers.
Agent Phil Coulson is now taking on TV in the ABC primetime series, which premieres September 24, airing Tuesday nights. Gregg said he loves all the fun gadgets he gets to use on the show.
In a clip from the new show, Gregg’s character tries to convince another agent to change his independent ways. The series springs from the mind of Joss Whedon, the prolific TV writer.
