Kelly & Michael: Ben Falcone Air Marshall
Ben Falcone came to talk to Michael and Chrissy Teigen. He directed, co-wrote and co-starred in Tammy. Michael said he’s a “funny dude,” but he always wanted to know if people always ask him if he’s Air Marshall John every time he’s on a flight because of Bridesmaids. They actually do from time to time especially when he has a moustache. They showed a picture. He plays along and says that he’s keeping them safe. Teigen said she always looks for the Air Marshalls. They have little medallions that they give out at the end.
Kelly & Michael: Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy
Falcone married Melissa McCarthy in 2005 and they’ve done four films together. McCarthy was on the show on June 25 2014. Falcone said she always has a great time on the show. Teigen asked how the look at each other and not burst out laughing. Falcone said that he laughs all the time and ruins all the takes.

McCarthy talked about how he stumbled downstairs to talk about his idea about Tammy. Falcone said that it’s all real. McCarthy came up with the name Tammy and it happened six years later.
Kelly & Michael: Ben Falcone Commercial
Falcone’s actually a very musical person and sang in a popular commercial. They had a clip. He was singing about Denim and all the other things you need to be cool in school. It was awesome. Teigen asked if it helped him get anything, and he said it helped him get sweaty right now. Michael said he bought it on iTunes right away.
Kelly & Michael: Pitching Tammy
Michael talked about how Tammy was an odd premise. Falcone admitted that it was, so they had to pitch everything with “a lot of pizzazz” and just yelled “road trip” and “Kathy Bates.” Apparently if you say “Kathy Bates” enough times they’ll do it. She wasn’t even cast in the movie yet. “We were just hoping,” he said, but they used her name anyway.
Kelly & Michael: Tammy Cast
They got a great cast including Susan Sarandon. People wanted to work with McCarthy because she’s nice and fun. Once they had Susan and Kathy people felt like it would be a party. “We tricked them,” Falcone said.

Tiegen said that Sarandon’s wig was hard to look at. “We had to unglamorize her,” Falcone said.
Kelly & Michael: Tammy Review
They played a clip of Tammy. Falcone was Tammy’s manager and fired her. He said he needed her badge, which was just her nametag that she had to pay for. She said she needed him to stop sweating. He told her to get out. It was so funny. Tammy will be in theaters on July 2 2014.
