Live! with Kelly & Michael: Ashton Kutcher’s Summer Vacation
The freaking adorable Ashton Kutcher was the first person all week to really greet the crowd at Kelly & Michael. He danced out to “Blurred Lines” and was genuinely happy to be there. He had to stand on his toes to hug Michael Strahan.
The energetic entrepreneur took the summer off from acting to focus on his other projects. Kutcher ended up visiting family and working on business, such as his media company, Katalyst. He then went back to Iowa to see friends and family.

For the Fourth of July, Kutcher got his huge semi-like truck out and drove it in his hometown parade. He got to chuck candy at his nephews and the kids loved it. I think Kutcher enjoyed it even more.
Ashton also went to London, where he didn’t like driving on the other side of the road. He usually just gets a driver for those countries, but this time he decided to drive. He said he thought he was on a National Lampoon vacation because he kept getting in the roundabouts.
Ashton Kutcher’s Obsession With Bar Carts
Kutcher’s latest obsession is with an interior design and architecture website, Houzz. You can go on and find reputable designers. He found a meme of bar carts and wants one in every room of his home. Kutcher loves that it’s mobile and liquor-related.
“Don’t we all want a bar wherever we go?” he said.
Kutcher also loves that it becomes art when you put cool and expensive liquor on the cart. Nicole Richie said they have a bar cart, but it’s an old mental hospital tray. Kutcher wants one everywhere.
Kelly & Michael: What To Do In New York City?
Kutcher said he has been in New York all week and has been going around doing all kinds of stuff. He rang the bell at the New York Stock Exchange, where he found it all anticlimactic. There were more computers than yelling stock workers and the bell was just a button, not a giant gong like he wanted.
Two and a Half Men: Angus T Jones Leaving For College
As you may know, Ashton Kutcher took over for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. Now, another pivotal character is leaving the series. Angus T Jones is leaving the series to go to college and experience some normal life. Kutcher told him to do last season and then go off to college. In his place, Two and a Half Men is bringing in Amber Tamblyn. The series title won’t be changing, but who will be the half man now?
Jake, Jones’ character, is going away to war, so he might be having a few Skype dates with the guys. He will no longer be a main character on the series. Kutcher said he has no idea what will happen with the series.
Ashton Kutcher Brings Steve Jobs Back To Life
Ashton Kutcher’s love of technology really drew him to the role of Steve Jobs, Apple creator and CEO. His resemblance to Jobs is a little creepy. He said playing someone that he admires is a lot of pressure. He has many friends that knew Steve Jobs, so he dove in 100%. The film is more about Steve Jobs being an artist, coming from nothing to making great things that changed the world.
Preparing for the role took three months. His first game was researching the character and then reading the books he read and investing in the mentors and heroes he loved. Kutcher even went so far as to take on Jobs fruitarian diet. He went weeks at a time just rotating grapes, apples, and carrots. Jobs’ eating style was very disciplined, but it put Kutcher in the hospital with a pancreas issue three days before shooting.
Having a pancreas problem was the worst pain ever, said Kutcher. He said that while he was in the hospital, Kutcher’s rabbi was also in the hospital. He met him and they read the Torah together. The reading actually made him feel a lot better.
Jobs comes out August 16 2013.
