Kelly & Michael: Adam Sandler Yankees
It was a big day on the Live! With Kelly & Michael set thanks to the arrival of Grown Ups 2 star Adam Sandler. After a warm welcome from fans, Adam congratulated Michael Strahan on his (relatively) new job as co-host. Adam is a big fan of Michael’s, and the feeling is mutual.

Adam recently attended a Yankees game from the announcer’s booth, although unfortunately his home team didn’t win. On the bright side, Adam enjoyed a giant Italian feast on Arthur Avenue beforehand, and then got to live it up in the Steinbrenners’ box.

But the Yankees game wasn’t Adam’s only sports-related activity. He also served as NASCAR Grand Marshall with Shaquille O’Neal and his Grown Ups 2 co-star Kevin James. Instead of stating “Drivers, start your engines” in the traditional format, the trio decided to sing the phrase in the style of a ’90s boy band. Kelly and Michael shared a clip of the “song,” and it was pretty hilarious.
Adam apologized for potentially offending any NASCAR purists out there. Kelly found it funny that even while singing in falsetto, Shaq’s voice is deeper than everyone else’s. According to Adam, it isn’t just due to his height, but also because he once took an elbow to the throat.
Adam Sandler: Reunited With Bulldog Baboo
Adam spoke very highly of his dog, Baboo, almost as if she were his third child! He’s been separated from the six-year-old bulldog for quite some time now, because he’s been filming a movie in Africa with Drew Barrymore. He’s looking forward to their upcoming reunion, but he knows that she’s going to get too excited, so he’s planning on keeping it cool.

After snapping some pictures with audience members during the commercial break, Adam discussed his hilarious Grown Ups 2 co-stars. He’s starring alongside actors and friends like David Spade, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, and Colin Quinn, but revealed that Shaq is naturally funnier than all of these professional comedians.

After filming Grown Ups, Adam famously gifted his co-stars with Maserati sports cars. On behalf of yesterday’s guest David Spade, Kelly asked what the parting gifts will be this time around.
Adam decided that Maseratis are too expensive, so he’s decided to give away Priuses. Shaq can’t fit inside of a Maserati anyway. Adam said, “I’ll get Shaq two Maseratis, and he can use them as shoes!”
Adam Sandler: “Grown Ups 2” ’80s Dance Party
In Grown Ups 2, Adam’s character, Lenny, is a Hollywood agent who moves his kids back to the New England town where he grew up. Kelly and Michael shared a clip with the audience of Adam getting ready for an 80s dance party at the end of the film. He dresses up as Bruce Springsteen, but obviously, his young children have no clue who that is (or when the 1980s were).
