Kelly & Michael: Michael Consuelos Birthday
Kelly told Michael Consuelos she loved him as soon as the show started. It’s Michael’s 17th birthday today. Kelly showed a picture of Michael on Joaquin’s birthday four years before he was born. Kelly said he’d be upset if she showed a current picture of him.

Michael Consuelos doesn’t drive yet, but he’s taking driving lessons. He didn’t even want a car for his birthday. He’s scared to drive and isn’t ready. Kelly & Mark get him a new Metro card every year instead.
Michael Strahan doesn’t get that. He loved driving when he was a kid. Kelly’s kids are completely different because everything’s accessible to them. They view driving as a punishment. It’s different in the city. Kelly said that Michael needs to learn how to drive, but it’s not so important to her kids. It’s not something you need to know how to do in the city.
Kelly Ripa Weekend: Dinner at the Palms
Kelly also just had a great weekend. They had a birthday dinner for Michael at the Palms because her friend is one of the owners. They immortalized Michael and drew his face on the wall at the Palms. It was also so nice out, so they spent the weekend outside.
Kelly & Michael: Michael Strahan Trip to Vegas
Michael went on an annual retreat to Las Vegas with the guys at Fox. He’s not a big gambler though. $300 is his max, and he lost it really quickly. Kelly remembered that they did the show in Vegas once. She lost $35 and was insufferable about it. Michael said he only wins when he doesn’t care. They also went to dinner and a comedy show.
They saw David Spade and Kevin Farley. There was a third comedian he couldn’t remember. They don’t usually go to a show, but Michael said it was worth it. Vegas is really special to Kelly because that’s where she got married. Michael also went to the club. He went to Surrender. One of the audience members was actually a bartender there! She wasn’t there when Michael was there though.
He left early, and all of his friends were saying how great it was. He didn’t go back down though. Kelly & Michael talked about how parties are only good when you’re not there. They also talked about how they need more sleep when they’re not going out. Kelly said she used to be able to go without a lot of sleep; now she sleeps as soon as it’s dark.
