Kelly & Michael: Gas Rationing After Hurricane Sandy
One thing that made Kelly Ripa feel very old this morning was the fact that there is now gas rationing across the tri-state area. The on-going effects of Hurricane Sandy have made gas a precious commodity, so gas will be distributed based on odd and even license plate numbers. As long as people are getting the gas they need!
Michael Strahan: DIY Network Visits Dressing Room
Michael Strahan uses Kelly’s old dressing room, and it’s still adorned with girly decorations, posters of Kelly, and even pictures of Mark Consuelos. Michael is currently planning a “man cave” dressing room makeover, and on Tuesday, the DIY Network will be visiting the studio to help him out. I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Kelly Ripa: Tattoo Removal

Kelly had a quiet night in with the kids last night, but she also saw a doctor to begin the process of removing a tattoo on her ankle. She got the tattoo when she was very young, and she now regrets it. Michael asked Kelly if it’s true that the tattoo removal is more painful than getting the tattoo itself.
She replied that after giving birth three times, she doesn’t even understand pain anymore! However, she didn’t feel much soreness after the treatment. Michael doesn’t have any tattoos, because he’s smart! (And afraid of needles.)
Michael Strahan: Stand Up For Heroes Event
Instead of visiting with doctors, Michael had a fun night out. He first met up with the Good Morning America crew at an art event hosted by Sam Champion. Afterwards, he attended the Stand Up For Heroes event from the Bob Woodruff Foundation.
The star-studded event was held in support of America’s military heroes, who return home and often struggle with PTSD. Celebrities at the event included Jon Stewart, Robin Williams, and performances from John Mayer and Bruce Springsteen. Michael Strahan even got to meet the Boss himself, and had the picture to prove it!
Kelly & Michael: Deodorant Candy Review
In an unusual move, Kelly asked her co-host to give her a quick whiff. How did she smell? Great, and it may just be because of a new deodorant candy called Deo. Developed based on Japanese studies, it features aromatic compounds that evaporate through the skin and keep you smelling fresh for up to six hours. Michael gave the candy a taste, but he wasn’t really a fan, so the hosts decided to throw some into the audience so that they could try. See what the audience thought during Host Chat below.
Kelly & Michael: Roseanne Barr Fifth Place In Election
Kelly didn’t remember seeing her name on the ballot, but apparently, actress and comedian Roseanne Barr ran for President and finished in fifth place during the election. Her final tally was 49,000 votes, which actually is pretty high! Kelly guessed that if she ran for President, she’d get about six votes (I think she’d get more.) Did you see Roseanne’s name on the ballot? And do you think she’d make a good President?
Kelly & Michael: Jermaine Jackson Changes Name
For “artistic reasons,” Jackson 5 member Jermaine Jackson has decided to change his name to Jermaine Jacksun. I’m inclined to agree with Michael–what’s the point of that? Also, will his son, Jermajesty Jackson, also be changing his name? Kelly gets a real kick out of the name “Jermajesty.” If she had decided to have a fourth child, “Jermajesty Consuelos” would have been a good choice!
Kelly & Michael: Benefits of Aging
No one likes to think about aging, but there may be some benefits that make it worth your while (not that you have a choice.) Better sex, clearer skin, and fewer allergies are just some of the positive aspects of getting older. Take it from Art Moore– he was happy to confirm for everyone!
